Story Time
Elizabeth Nilsen, Keyboarding Teacher, Cape Elizabeth High School, Cape Elizabeth, ME

Once students have completed the basic keyboard reaches, I have them open the word processor, and I give them the first line of a story. They have one minute to key the next line of the story. At the buzzer, they move to the next seat to their right. They then read what is on the screen and continue the story. This continues until the students are back at their original seats. The resulting stories are fun, and the students enjoy sharing them. It is also an opportunity to edit the content for readability.
